Interment at Murphy For Native of Tennessee
Funeral services for B. F. Gunter were held at the Wylie Baptist Church Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. Ben Snider, Baptist minister, of McKinney, with interment in the Murphy Cemetery under direction of the Crouch Funeral Home of McKinney.
The deceased who was born in Tennessee June 3, 1852, passed away at 1:30 p. m. at the home of his daughter Mrs. T. B. Blassingame, Route 3, McKinney, in the New Hope community. He was 84 years, 4 months and 23 days old at the time of his passing. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
He is survived by the following children: Mrs. Nannie Martin, Wylie; Will Gunter, Oklahoma; Earl Gunter, Dallas; Mrs. Nora Long, Wylie. Mrs. Terry Dooley, Dallas; Jim Gunter, Lucas; Earnest Gunter, and Mrs. Blassingame, New Hope; Johnnie Gunter, Dallas and Mrs. Mary Fry, Lavon. Thirty-six grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren survive. The body was taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Long in Wylie to await the funeral hour.
