VETERAN COLLIN COUNTY CITIZEN DIED IN DALLAS
W. M. Jetton, 78 Years Old, Buried Near Westminster.
W. M. Jetton, 78 years, 11 months and 11 days old, died in a Dallas sanitarium Thursday afternoon following a second operation to which he had recently submitted.
The passing of this well-known veteran citizen in Dallas, where he was visiting among his children, will be deeply regretted by friends and acquaintances in McKinney and Collin county where he had lived for about thirty years.
The deceased was a native of Tennessee in which state he was born August 10, 1848. He came to Texas with his wife thirty years ago, settling near Westminster.
Funeral services were conducted in the Westminster Baptist church Friday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, conducted by Rev. Joseph Pearce and Rev. J. H. Davis. Interment followed in the Elm Grove cemetery about one mile from Westminster.
The deceased is survived by two sons and three daughters as follows: Mrs. Fred C. Kelly, and Mrs. Laura Perkins, of Dallas; Mrs. Mollie Bullington of Atwood, Tenn., G. G. Jetton of McKinney and Marshall Jetton who could not be located.
The wife of the deceased passed away while they were living near Westminster in August 1912. He was buried beside her grave.
Besides the children, the deceased is survived by eighteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were in charge of Ernheart & Eastern, undertakers of Westminster and Trenton.
A large host of friends and acquaintances in this city and county are left to mourn the loss of their friend and who extend sympathy to members of the bereaved family.
