Her 85th birthday anniversary was celebrated Sunday, October 25th, by a gathering of her children, grandchildren and friends who brought with them an elegant dinner and the occasion was greatly enjoyed. While it was known that she was nearing the end of her earthly journey, no one surmised that it was to come so soon.
Deceased was married to James A. Bilderback in 1861, and they were a pioneer couple of this community. The husband preceded the wife to the grave by a number of years. Eight children were born to the union. One died in infancy and James Bilderback died October 3, 1911.
The others survive as follows: Miss Thursa Bilderback, Mrs. Carrie Callahan, Omer Bilderback and Charlie Bilderback, all of Celina, Texas. Frank Bilderback of Hedley, Texas, and Mrs. Belle Johnson of Ravenna, Texas. Mrs. Bilderback leaves 41 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was converted 18 years ago joining the church some years later. The funeral was at Cottage Hill Church, Tuesday at 3 p.m. and burial was at Cottage Hill Cemetery.
A large crowd of relatives and friends amended the service and bestowed upon the grave a wealth of floral offerings. The service over the body was conducted by Ben B. Fielder, pastor of Van Alstyne Methodist Church and Rev. E. Canster, pastor of Weston Methodist Church.
The influence of this good woman's life and that of the family of children she reared has and will be felt for a long time to come in the community."
