MR. AND MRS. G. O. CATE MARRIED 50 YEARS

G. O. Cate and wife, honored and estimable couple, who reside in the Altoga community, were married fifty years ago Monday, Nov. 6. On last Sunday they observed their fiftieth wedding anniversary at their pretty country home. A turkey dinner was served. The following children were present: Mrs. J. T. Mantooth and husband of Altoga; Mrs. John Thompson and little son, Billy, of McKinney; Homer Cate and wife of Altoga. Mr. and Mrs. E. Williams, neighbors of Mr. and Mrs. Cate for many years were also present and enjoyed the hospitality of the Cate family. The other children of Mr. and Mrs. Cate, but who were not present, are: Earl and Clyde Cate, of Altoga; Manford Cate of Goree; Mrs. Leonard Smith of west McKinney, and Mrs. G. G. Lovelady, Altoga.
Mr. and Mrs. Cate have been residents of the Altoga community for forty years. They came to Collin county from Georgia. Mr. Cate is a well-known farmer and stockman of that section. Mrs. Cate was correspondent for these papers from Altoga for many years.
