MRS. NANCY CARROLL PASSES AWAY IN HOSPITAL

Mrs. Nancy A. Carroll, 74 years old, died in the City-County Hospital here Tuesday morning at 8 o’clock following a month’s illness. She was born June 25, 1878 in Tennessee, coming to Collin County sixty years ago residing in the Allen Community. He parents were the late Samuel Rawlings and Mary Owens. She was a member of the Baptist Church here.
In 1898 she was married to Bryant Carroll. Surviving are three sons: Roy and Fred Carroll of Allen; Douglas Carroll of Fort Worth; five daughters: Mrs. M. A. Sykes and Mrs. Garnett Howlett, both of Allen; Mrs. E. M. Brazil and Mrs. Joe B. Storey, both of Dallas and Mrs. E. M. Cook, of Fort Worth. One sister, Mrs. Etta Phares, of California, three brothers, Charlie Rawlings of Celina; Hiram Rawlings of Fort Worth and Claud Rawlings of McLeon, Texas, fifteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
The time of the funeral service is pending with the Massie Funeral Home, however the service will be held at the Baptist Church in Allen conducted by the pastor, Rev. C. C. Goen with burial in the Allen cemetery.
