Harrison Brummett, Hunt Co., Sep 1874. Age 60. Volunteered at Jonesboro in Red River Co. Served as 3rd sgt., Capt. John Hart’s company, Gen Green’s brigade of mounted men. 2nd Lt. Wm. C. Bailey, 1st Lt. Geo. W. Wright. Orderly sgt. John R. Cradock, Surgeon Dr. Daniel Rowlett. Received bounty warrant for 320 acres, sold it to John S. Porter of Lamar Co.
Isaac Reed, Collin Co., identified applicant and served with him. John Roberts, Hunt Co., said Brummett and Reed were living in his house when they both joined army. F. M. Davidson, Collin Co., identified applicant. Brummett was born 4 Jun 1814 in St. Francis Co., MO, and was living in Collin Co., in Oct. 1884.
