DEATH OF A YOUNG WIFE
Mrs. John Green of Allen Died Monday.
WAS BURIED HERE TUESDAY
Interment Made in Pecan Grove Cemetery at 3 O’clock.
The Funeral.
Mrs. Green, the beautiful young wife of John Green and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Bush of Allen died Monday afternoon at 1:40 o’clock at her home in Allen after a short illness.
Mrs. Green was just nineteen years old and was married about a year and a half ago, while attending school in Waco. Just when life was brightest and sweetest to her, the cold hand of death severed the golden thread and she passed to the great beyond, but the broken hearted husband and parents have the sweet assurance that she was a Christian and all is well with her soul.
Mrs. Green was a cousin to Mrs. F. G. Jones of this city, and her husband formerly worked here being in the employ of Chandler Stiff & Co., now the J. D. Stiff Dry Goods Co. Both have many friends here.
The funeral services were held Tuesday at 12 o’clock in the Christian church at Allen, of which she was a member, being conducted by Rev. Eugene Holmes of Whitesboro, assisted by Rev. Geo. I. Bush, pastor of First Christian church of this city.
The body was brought here and interred in Pecan Grove cemetery at 3 o’clock Tuesday.
We extend sympathy to all upon whom this great sorrow has fallen.
