RESIDENT HERE 28 YEARS, DIES
J. P. Cain of Near City Passes Away.

J. P. (Jim) Cain, aged 57 years, died at his home two and one half miles south of town at 12:10 o’clock Friday afternoon. Deceased had been in declining health for some time, however, he was able to be up and about up to within a few hours of his death. He was in McKinney Thursday.
Deceased was a native of Tennessee, but moved to Texas twenty-eight years ago. With the exception of two years which he spent in Wise county he had spent the remainder of the time in Collin county near Allen. He moved to his home near McKinney nine years ago.
Deceased is survived by his widow and sic children. The children are as follows. E. F. Cain, near McKinney; Hubert Cain, C. A. Cain, Earl Cain, Mrs. Viola Dugger and Mrs. Arie Hefner all of the Rowlett community.
Deceased is also survived by two brother – one residing in Arkansas and the other in Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be held at the family residence Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock. Burial will follow in Pecan Grove cemetery.
