McTees to observe 50th anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Duard K. McTee will hold open house on Sunday, Feb. 22, between the hours of 2-5 p.m. at their home 2120 Chippendale in the McKinney Heights Addition. Mrs. Peggy Pinson of Longview, niece of Mr. McTee, will cater the affair. Friends and relatives of the couple are invited to attend.
Duard K. McTee married Audra Nadene Rape, Feb. 20, 1926 in Greenville. Both were born and reared in the blue Ridge community.
The spent the first three years of their married life in McKinney, resided in Dallas 16 years, then 25 years on their farm located five miles northeast of Plano (in the Parker community). They bought a home in Lone Star in 1962 and lived there one year before moving back to Collin County and their present address.
Mr. McTee spent most of his adult life as an operating engineer (over 37 years) working for the Quality Ice Company of Dallas. After his retirement, July 1, 1966, he served six years as an operator for the Pecan Orchard Rural Water System, northeast of Plano. He also served two terms on the Parker City Council.
Mrs. McTee was employed as an assistant to a dentist, from there becoming a receptionist for a doctor.
