MRS. J. L. HARRINGTON TO BE BURIED AT HALE CENTER TOMORROW
Funeral services for Mrs. J. L. Harrington, 65, who died this morning at the family home, 806 Galveston street, after an illness of more than a years, are to be conducted Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock from the First Baptist church at Hale Center. The Rev. Joe Wilson, pastor of the church, is to be in charge of the services. Buried is to be made in the Hale Center cemetery under the direction of Fields-Boen Funeral Service.
Mrs. Harrington was born in Virginia July 17, 1866 and moved to Kentucky while still a child. The family later moved to Collier [sic] County, Texas, where she became the wife of J. L. Harrington.
Mrs Harrington had been a resident of Hale county this past thirty-five years having made her home in Hale Center most of that time. More than a year ago the family moved to Plainview. She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Miss Ollie Maude Harrington, two sons, Wesley of Plainview and Will of Hale Center and six grandchildren. She is also survived by W. L. Harrington if Plainview, a brother-in-law.
Active pall bearers are Silas Muggard, Hobby Thomas, Arnold Wilson, Godfrey Akeson, W. B. Smith, and Taylor Smithee, all of Hale Center.
The list of honorary pall bearers includes: Charlie Benson, Nils Akeson, Sr., J. W. Stevens, Tom Mounts, R. E. Terry, John Reed, Hardy Brunell, all of Hale Center, and Leonard Harrel of Abernathy.
