McANERY CEMETERY - WESTON
CR175
CR175
There is only one stone for this cemetery. It states: Trotter, Mary P., wife of Green Trotter, died 1-28-1879, aged 27 yr 9 mo 24 dys. "Weep not for me my kindred dear, I am not dead but sleepeth here." It was made by I. W. Moody, Fort Scott. Ft. Scott is in Kansas. The stone is broken and was moved several years ago to the west side of the driveway. It is presently leaning against a pile of bricks. The stone is in two pieces.
The location of the cemetery is not known. It is thought to be on a knoll north of the house but there is no proof of that. There is no additional information on the cemetery. I do not know where the name McAnery came from.
There is reference to a cemetery that was east of the Kelly community. This cemetery is west of the community.
