S. J. Massie and sons - Standing in S. J. Massie and Sons, buggies, harness, saddlery and also undertaking, are (L.-R) Sam J. Massie, his son Glenn and Grant C. Smith, an employee. The store, built by J. M. Wilcox for Massie's business was on the second block off the square on E. Louisiana. Buggies were kept on the second, floor, taken up by elevator. harness and saddles were also manufactured upstairs, employing 12 - 14 men.
