Services for James Burton Jr., of Plano, who died Saturday at his residence, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pecan Grove Memorial Park. Horn-Harris-Crouch-Belew Funeral home is in charge of services. Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Bacon was born on April 16, 1929, in Collin County, the son of James Burton Bacon and Vertie V. Griffin into the Baptist faith. He was an accountant for Chrysler Boats.
Mr. Bacon is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Ann Bacon Moeller of Dallas; a son, Brad Burton Bacon of Dallas; and a step-granddaughter, Amy Moeller.
