ROY CROWDER PASSES AWAY MONDAY NIGHT

Lee Roy Crowder, 59, passed away at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Collin Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was born here August 28, 1901, the son of John Wesley and Zachariah Cooper Crowder, spending his lifetime in McKinney where he engaged in the restaurant business for many years.
He was twice married, his first wife, Mrs. Iva Crowder, passing away December 21, 1955. He married Miss Doris Turrentine June 9, 1957, who survives with one daughter, Mrs. Theda Stephens of Tyler; two brothers, W. E. and Vernie Crowder of McKinney; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Mills and Mrs. Minnie Montgomery both of McKinney and three grandchildren.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Wednesday in Harris-Horn Funeral Chapel, Rev. Thos. Hardy and Rev. Earl Rogers, officiating with interment in Pecan Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Earl Walker, Bill Finney, Tip McCarley, Henry Shoap, Leonard Capps and Roy Caldwell.
Honorary pallbearers: Dr. Chas. Shumway and J. D. Ellis.
