Services for Mrs. Mae Gunter, 81, of Weston, who died Friday at Terrell Community Hospital in Terrell, were 2 today at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with the Rev. Don Bohicke officiating. Burial was in Ridgeview Memorial Park under the direction of Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Directors.
She was born on Oct. 20, 1911, in Collin County, the daughter of Ely and Mary Ella Davidson Knight. She married Grady Lee Gunter on June 12, 1931 in Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church in Weston.
Survivors include three sons, Grady E. Gunter of Aubrey, Joseph Dwayne Gunter of Kaufman and Walter Eugene Gunter of Houston; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Elsie Davidson of Seattle, Wash.; and one brother, Robin H. Knight of Allen.
