Funeral services for V. O. Myrick, 85, of McKinney who died today as his residence will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Malcolm Cave officiating. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery.
Myrick was born July 24, 1900 in Collin County, the son of Army Myrick and Lula Griffith Myrick.
He was a retired painter and a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include four daughters: Mary Lou Smith of Arizona, Aza Cave and Barbara Crum both of McKinney, Flossie Gower of Lewisville; one brother Audie C. Myrick of Dallas; one sister, Zelthia Hendricks of Dallas; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
