Funeral services for Floyd Johnson, 84, of McKinney, who died Friday at his residence, were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Horn-Harris-Crouch Chapel with the Rev. Kelly Montgomery officiating. Interment was in Pecan Grove Cemetery with Horn-Harris-Crouch Funeral Home in charge of the services.
Johnson was born Oct. 12, 1902 in Georgia, the son of Milliard F. and Sarah J. Johnson and married Ruth Hicks on March 27, 1943 in Montgomery, Ala.
He was a retired Church of God minister, member and former pastor of the Church of God in McKinney.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth of McKinney; three sons: Felton E. Johnson of Social Circle, Ga., James A. Johnson of Lubbock and Harold P. Johnson of McKinney; two daughters: Alice Beatrice Machovsky of Ashville, N.C., and Miss Rachel P. Johnson of McKinney; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
