Funeral services for Chester Crabtree, 93, of McKinney, who died Saturday at University Nursing Center, will be at 4 p.m. today at Horn-Harris-Crouch Funeral Chapel.
Dr. James Puckett and the Rev. John McCallon will officiate. Interment will be at Pecan Grove Cemetery with Horn-Harris-Crouch Funeral Home in charge.
He was born Feb. 22, 1893 in Willette, Tenn., the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Crabtree. He married Cleo Stewart.
Crabtree was a retired lawyer and practiced in Pontiac, Ill., for 50 years. He was the oldest living graduate of Cumberland Law School.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of McKinney and the McKinney Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, Cleo Crabtree of McKinney two sons, Joe Crabtree of Wayzata, Minn., and Chester Crabtree Jr. of New York; a daughter, Blanch Raymussen of West Covina, Calif., one stepson, James Stewart of McKinney; one stepdaughter, Peggy Axsmith of New York, 12 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. The family will be at the funeral home this afternoon.
