NEW AD MANAGER TO START MONDAY
Robby England, formerly wit the Shreveport, La., Times-Journal will join the Daily Courier-Gazette staff Monday as advertising manager.
England, 27, succeeds Walter Clements, who recently moved to Lewisville to assume duties as advertising manager of the Lewisville Leader. Clements had been with the newspaper here since last October.
England, a native of Paris, Texas, was a display advertising salesman for the Louisiana newspaper. He is a graduate of East Texas State University and is a former Naval aviator.
The new advertising manager and his wife, Kathy, will make their home at 1206 Hill St. They are members of the Church of Christ.
“As I approached McKinney Saturday, looking at the cotton fields here and there and the pastures in between spotted and whitefaced cattle grazing, I felt that I was coming home at last.” He said.
“The courthouse and the people on the streets of McKinney were remindful of Paris, my home town.”...
