HOLD FUNERAL SERVICES FOR W. C. ALLEN

Impressive funeral services were held over the remains of W. C. Allen, for many years a highly respected McKinney citizen, who died at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, at his late residence, 1502 West Virginia street, after a year or more of very poor health. He had been bedfast since January 13.
Funeral services were conducted at the family residence at 2:30 o’clock Thursday afternoon by his pastor, Dr. Clifford S. Weaver, assisted by Eld. R. C. Horn, a long time friend of the family. Interment followed in the Pecan Grove Cemetery.
The deceased is survived by his beloved wife and four children as follows: W. C. Allen, Jr., of Dallas; Mrs. O. S. Hines and Elizabeth Allen, McKinney and Mrs. John Dyer, Dallas.
Active pallbearers were his nephews as follows: George F. Thompson, J. J. Thompson, T. P. Steger of Dallas, E. G. Steger of Dallas, E. P. Allen of Corsicana, Ed P. Bennett, Tom Tackett and T. D. Allen, all of Dallas.
Floral offerings were beautiful and profuse and bespoke kindly words of sympathy to the bereaved ones.
