104th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATED

They had a birthday party Saturday, March 18th, at Hilltop Haven in Gunter!
Annie Jane Anderson was 104 years old. About 50 relatives and friends gathered to celebrate at a party arranged by Mary Fields, activities director, at the retirement home.
There were five generations present. A representative of a sixth generation was unable to attend.
Annie Jane Lundy Mitchell Anderson was born March 18, 1891, at Laurel Hill, Florida, to Confederate Veteran William A. “Uncle Bill” Lundy and Mary Lassiter Lundy. Mrs. Anderson has been a resident of Texas since 1920 first settling in the East Texas area.
She is the Mother of five, of which Mrs. Daisy Mitchell Dhooge of Dallas, Texas, is her only living child. She also has a brother, John Daniel Lundy, age 93, of Laurel Hill, Florida. Mrs. Anderson has 20 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, 44 great, great, grandchildren and 3 great, great, great, grandchildren.
Annie is one of a very few people living whose parent was a veteran of the Civil War which ended 130 years ago in 1865.
