Gaines W. Noles Died in City-County Hospital
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday for Gaines W. Noles, 67, who died in the City-County Hospital Saturday night after several months illness. He had resided in Collin County for 14 years, where he formerly farmed. He had been in McKinney for several years, residing at 1207 South Wilcox Street.
Born in Alabama December 20, 1891, he was the son of John T. and Rebecca Burden Noles. He was a member of the Baptist Church..
Funeral rites were held in the King Memorial Baptist Church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. S. D. Lindsey, with burial in Burns Cemetery at Trenton. Turrentine-Jackson Funeral Directors in charge.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ida Hall Noles of McKinney; daughters, Mrs. Anson Ingram of Dallas, Mrs. Joe D. Vermillion of Van Alstyne; son, Grady Noles of Madison, Wis; brothers, Henry Noles of Pilot Point; James T. Noles of Alabama; sisters, Mrs. Grover Plulnkeet and Mrs. Frances Hallmark, both of Alabama; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
