E. R. Marcrum Funeral Set
Edgar R. Marcrum, 34, a former Dallas man who died Friday in a car accident near Oak Ridge, Tenn., will be buried in Laurel Land Memorial Park after military services at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lamar & Smith Chapel, 800 West Jefferson.
Marcrum, who was in Tennessee on a job for the Atomic Energy Commission, had been employed by the Chambers lumber Company in Oak Cliff.
He saw four years of service with the Army during World War II. He was with a landing force on the Omaha Beach in the Allied invasion of Europe. He was decorated with the bronze star. He was born at McKinney and reared in Ellis County.
Marcrum is survived by his wife of Albuquerque, N. M.; a son, Michael Ray Marcrum of Dallas; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Marcrum, Dallas; a brother, Wesley Marcrum fo Dallas, and four sisters, Mrs. Lillie Mae Baggett and Mrs. A. C. Ward, both of Dallas, Mrs. Marshall Brewer of Kemp, Kaufman County, and Mrs. D. E. Scott of Wellington, Collingswroth County.
