Services for Sally Chloe Parker Cotter, 96, of McKinney, who died Monday at Pavilion Nursing Home were held today at Horn-Harris-Crouch-Belew Funeral chapel with the Rev. Malcolm Cave officiating. Burial was in Pecan Grove Memorial park under the direction of Horn-Harris-Crouch-Belew Funeral Directors.
She was born June 14, 1895, in Tolar, the daughter of Kit Melton and Susie Giles Melton. She married A.W. Parker in December of 1911, in Granbury. They owned and operated Parker Rest Home in McKinney for 25 years. He preceded her in death in 1966. She then married Charlie Cotter who preceded her in death in 1975. She was a member of Waddill Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Lucille Milstead Allen and Sue Samuels, both of McKinney and Dorothy Crim Baker of Gordonville; two sons, A. B. Parker of Princeton and Richard Parker of Scranton, Ark.; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Hazel Alder in 1982.
