-------sudden death but physicians say that he suffered a stroke of either heart failure or apoplexy.
Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist Church, Princeton. Wednesday after noon at 2:30 by Rev. Habren and Mood. Interment at the Pleasant Grove cemetery.
Mr. McMahan was 63 years of age and a native of Illinois. He has been prominent and well known citizen of the Farmersville section, for thirty-five years. Last fall he moved from his farm in the Pleasant Grove community to Princeton. He has for many years been an active member of the Methodist church. As a citizen he was highly regarded for his splendid qualities by his neighbors and a host of friends. His death caused many expressions of regret in Farmersville, where he was well and favorable known.
Surviving the deceased are his wife and twelve children. Walter McMahan of Waco, and Olan McMahan; nine daughters, Mrs. S. A. Shipman, Mrs. L. J. Sides, and Mrs. Herman Snyder of Climax, Mrs. John Wright of McKinney, Mrs. H. M. Glass of Shamrock and Mrs. W. A. Beaver of Mercedes. --- Farmersville Times.
