Bush School - SH121 and Custer Road
The Bush School replaced the Baccus School around 1930. It was a 4-room brick school house on the land of Wm. Bush, north of SH 121 and east of Custer. It did not last very long. The Allen and Frisco school districts claimed the students near the end of the 1930's.
Teachers at this school were a brother and sister from Frisco named Ealy, Vera McClure from McKinney and her brother Choice McClure, Mr. and Mrs. Tines, and Benny Witt.
Families using this school were the Gamens, Days, Rasors, Renues, Cuffmans, Gibons, Hambys, and Cobbs.
