BENJAMIN FRANKLIN BIGGS

Benjamin Franklin Biggs served in the Civil War. He married Aisle Jane Starr and he and his wife came to this area from east Texas in 1867. They were the parents of seven children, one of whom was James William Biggs, who married Mary Appaloni Burch. To this union were born fourteen children, eleven of whom lived to be grown. One of their sons: Roy Biggs, was a merchant in Lucas for a number of years. Other sons, Fred, framed in this area for years and Gene Biggs, a landowner and farmer. Both now live in McKinney. Also F. W. Biggs, who married Alma Boyd of Allen, worked the Stratton farm here for years. A daughter, Helen Biggs, married J. T. Lewis of the Parker area.
