Mr. and Mrs. Homer Dowell will be honored at open house Sunday, July 12 from 3 to 5 o’clock at their home, 501 North Tennessee Street. The occasion marks their 50th wedding anniversary. Nieces of the couple who are hostesses for the affair are Mrs. Fannell Sproles, Miss Billie Potter and Mrs. Bob Cooper.
Mr. and Mrs. Dowell were married in McKinney, July 15, 19114 at the home of Dr. E. E. King, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Mrs. Dowell was the former Miss Mae Potter.
They have a host of friends and relatives who are invited to the anniversary party Sunday.
