Services for Billy Van Harris, 55, of McKinney, who died Wednesday at his residence, were 10 today at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with the Rev. Danny Buster officiating. Burial was in Ridgeview Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Directors.
He was born Sept. 12, 1937, in Thackerville, Okla., the son of Preston Joseph Harris and Annie B. Thurman Harris. He married Cora Lee Long on May 7, 1989, in Denison. He was a groundskeeper and a member of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Cora Lee Harris of McKinney; one son, Billy D. Harris of McKinney; one daughter, Judy Key of Bonham; two brothers, Charles Harris of Garland and James Harris of McKinney; one sister, Linda Moncier of Melissa; one granddaughter, Kimberly Dawn Loden of Arizona; two grandsons, Brian Keith Loden of Arizona and Jonathon Nolan Simpson of Bonham; and a number of other relatives.
