DR. J. E. GIBSON PASSES AWAY AT HOME EARLY TODAY

PIONEER McKINNEY PHYSICIAN AND CITIZEN TO BE BURIED FRIDAY.
After an illness of about a year, Dr. J. E. Gibson, pioneer McKinney physician and surgeon, and one of the city’s most highly esteemed and widely respected citizens, passed away at his late home, corner of Church and Louisiana streets, Thursday morning at 9 o’clock.
The deceased had been critically ill for five or six months, during most of which time he had been confined to his bed. His death, while universally mourned by every one who knew him, was not unexpected to his wide circle of friends in this and other communities.

Born at Athens, Tenn.
The deceased was born July 4, 1847 at Athens (McMinn county) Tenn, being at the time of his death 80 years, 2 months and 11 days old. His parents were Charles and Elizabeth Gibson. He was married in Athens, Tenn. September 14, 1874.
