Services for Mr. Lester William Coplen, Jr., 70, of McKinney, who died Saturday in Bonham, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Dr. James A. Puckett officiating. Burial will be in Ridgeview Memorial Park under the direction of Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Directors.
Mr. Coplen was born on Dec. 12, 1922, in Collin County, the son of Lester William Coplen Sr. and Leslie Willie Satterwhite. He married Mary Kathryn Dixon Coplen on Nov. 14, 1959, in Dallas. He was a retired auto service advisor and a member of First Baptist Church in McKinney.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Kathryn Coplen of McKinney; two sons, Mr. Lester W. Coplen, III and Mr. Terry Lynn Coplen, both of North Carolina; four grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Lucille Johnson of Richardson, Mrs. Virginia Terrell of McKinney and Mrs. Peggy Ledenham of San Antonio; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 tonight.
