The father William P. was a Mason and died in Louisiana. Mary was from Liberty, Mississippi. William and Mary were married in 1865. After her husband died, she came to Texas with her parents, Thomas and Martha Marsalis, in 1875. All of the children were born in Louisiana.
Mary’s obituary in 1932 says she is survived by 2 children. (Charles and Thomas). There are several mistakes in the obituary. The death dates listed in the obituary for Mary’s parents do not match the dates of Thomas and Martha Marsalis buried in this cemetery. (Decatur-Maxwell-Murphy in Murphy, TX)
According to Thomas’s death certificate, he died in 1956 in Dallas and is buried in the Murphy Cemetery. Augustus Lee and Thomas Russ are twins.
