Funeral services for Abbie M. Moon, 92, a lifetime resident of Blue Ridge who died Thursday morning in a Euless nursing home, will be held 2 p.m. Saturday in Blue Ridge First Baptist church with Rev. Peck William and Rev. Jimmy Draper officiating. Interment will be in Snow Hill Cemetery, Fielder-Baker of Blue Ridge in charge.
She was born Nov. 15, 1889 in Blue Ridge, the daughter of Bob and Molly McDonald. She married Ollie O. Moon, Aug. 4, 1907 in Pike.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Bertie Nevil of McKinney; five sons, Richard Moon of Grand Saline, Clyde Moon of Dallas, Travis Moon of Ft. Worth, Coy B. Moon of Euless, and Robert Moon of Mansfield; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 28 great-great grandchildren.
Her husband preceded her in death in 1972.
