Choice McClure Dies; Rites Set Thursday
McKinney - Funeral; services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in the First Baptist Church here for Choice McClure, 57, of McKinney, who died at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday in a local hospital.
The Rev. Bailey Stone and Rev. Ed Hayes, Methodist minister, and Foy Thomas of Whitewright, Baptist minister will conduct the services. Burial will be in Pecan Grove Cemetery, directed by Harris - Horn Funeral Home.
He was born Oct. 24, 1906 in Collin County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Len McClure. He was a member of the Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II. He was a partner in the Johnson Furniture store here. He was president of the Rotary Club and McKinney Chamber of Commerce and was a city commissioner for eight years. He was a director of the Central National Bank here. On Nov. 25, 1931, he married Martha Ann Hughston.
Survivors are his wife; a son, Dan McClure of McKinney; and a grandson; two brothers, Dick McClure of Allen and Von Ray McClure of Clyde; two sisters, Mrs. Verna McHone and Mrs. Jimmy Foster, both of McKinney.
