W. P. LAIR HONORED BY FRIENDS AND RELATIVES

The relatives of Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Lair, who live near Anna, surprised them Sunday, October 15, by going to their home with baskets of good things to eat – it being Mr. Lair’s 72nd birthday. At the noon hour a feast was spread. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Lair, Dallas; Mr. and Mrs. Tom Shelton and children, Loyd, John, Bernice, Willie, Gladys and May; Mrs. Etta Lair and children, Leland, Oran, John, Erwin and Lana; Mrs. Thad Parris and children, Robert, Grady, Walter, Bessie, Ruth, Dixon and Jack; Mrs. Sam Parris and daughter, Ethel and baby, Ruth Elizabeth; Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Strother and children, Dorothy, Frances, Oliver, Raleigh and Orlando; little Miss Helen Strother, daughter of R. F. Strother and wife; Mrs. Florence Nipp; Miss Beulah Bryan, Merrill Strother, Lottie Powell, Lavern Roper, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lair and daughter, Lillian; Mrs. O. Slaughter and daughter, Helen of Dallas; Mr. and Mrs. Everett Slaughter and baby daughter; Mrs. M. C. Powell and children.
After the dinner hour everybody had a social good time for the afternoon.
Mr. Lair is the only living son of Dr. Lair – the only daughter being Mrs. O. Slaughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lair have two children, Mrs. Tom Shelton and Bryan Lair of Dallas, both of whom were present on this enjoyable occasion.
