MRS. NANCY ALLEN PASSES AWAY EARLY SATURDAY
Funeral For Southeast McKinney Woman Sunday

Mrs. Nancy Allen, wife of A. W. Allen, died at her home in Southeast McKinney this Saturday morning at 1 o’clock after an illness of more than two years. Funeral services will be held in the King Memorial Baptist church of which she was a member Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, conducted by the pastor, Rev. G. O. Key. Interment will follow in Wilson Chapel cemetery under the direction of the Sam J. Massie & son, funeral directors.
Besides her husband, five children survive as follows: H. E. Allen, West, Texas; Mrs. Lee Kelley, Longview; Mrs. Carmella Wright, Sulphur Springs, Mrs. Effie Waide and Mrs. Texie Orr, both of McKinney.
One sister, Mrs. M. E. Bracken of Itasca, also survives.
The deceased was born in Alabama, July 12, 1863, being at the time of her passing, 59 years, six months and 25 days old. The family have resided in McKinney since 1914, with exception of a few years which they spent at West, Texas, returning to McKinney about eight years ago. Mr. Allen is employed with the Texas Textile Mill here.
