According to Capt. Roy Hall, the Trinity School was established in 1870 near the East Fork of the Trinity River north of McKinney.
In 1880 Trinity School was said to be located 6 miles north from McKinney and the community had well improved, rich soil with timber and prairie. The teacher was W. C. Walker.
There were 51 students in 1890. Prof. T. M. Hinsley was the teacher in 1897. Prof. C. T. Cobb was teacher 1899.
Trinity school district No. 39 had an enrollment of seventy pupils in 1901. W. L. Page taught the last term and C. T. Cobb the previous term. Miss Jesse Bateman will teach the coming session. Miss Pearl Curts was teacher in 1905 and Mr. Willis Neal was teacher in 1909.
To get to the Trinity School house get off the Interurban car at the Heard stop which is within a quarter of a mile of the school house.
There was a box supper at Trinity school house March 8, 1913 for the purpose of raising the remainder of the money to pay for the artificial limbs that had been purchased for Jewell Walker. Mr. Walker was using the limbs to a great advantage and it was hoped that everybody will come out and help a good cause.
Miss Anna Stiff was the teacher in 1913. An old-fashioned basket picnic was held to mark the end of the school term and the day was very pleasantly spent.
The trustees of the Trinity School Tuesday closed a contract with Miss Apple Farmer of Grand Saline to teach this school in 1914.
Jesse J. Orenduff of Trinity Community paid for advertising an ice cream supper held at the school in July of 1914. The supper was given for the benefit of the school and Mr. Orenduff, with the other trustees, F. H. Boone and Whit Loftice expressed their appreciation for the patronage received.
Miss Faires Franklin was employed as teacher of the Trinity school for the 1916-17 term. Miss Franklin is a graduate of the McKinney High School and last year was a student in the North Texas State Normal at Denton.
There was an ice cream supper at Trinity school house, five miles north of McKinney on September 29, 1916. It was convenient to the interurban, and all were invited to attend.
Trinity School had 53 students in 1925 and 44 in 1940. The Trinity School consolidated with the Melissa School District.
