The Skeeter Flat School was located where the Dallas, Rockwall and Collin County lines meet. Even though the building was in Collin County, the school district was part of Rockwall County and it served all 3 counties. Alfred Collins donated land for the school.

Doc Ross was said to be its trustee for many years. Both Hubert Allen and Thelma Collins Allen went to school there. It disbanded around 1943 and the building was moved to Rockwall for a school house for blacks.
Teachers included Arzie Russell in 1917 (top photo): Wilson Harper and Edith Smith in 1924 (lower photo); and Juanita Allison in 1935.
