“Burger school has a very good small house. It is poorly arranged but will be easily made to meet State requirements. The enrollment is 30. The character of the work is good. Miss Flossie O’Dell is doing the teaching in the school. She has taught this school before and is working at the job all the time.”
An article in the Celina Record dated September 11, 1941 states: “Alla School Term Starts With 138 Names Enrolled.…Since last term Shain’s Chapel and Bilderback school districts have consolidated with the Alla district and the Bilderback school building has been moved to Alla to provide for the additional number of students to be cared for…. Members of the faculty …are as follows: Mrs. F. C. Cline…. Mrs. Cline formerly taught at Shain’s Chapel
“For the present, on account of cotton-picking, there is no school in the afternoons.”
