Felix Self Died; Sunday Services Set
McKinney - Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Turrentine-Jackson Funeral Chapel for Felix O. Self, 74, who died in a McKinney hospital Friday after an illness of two months.
Rev. S. D. Lindsay and Rev. Justin Prince will conduct services. Burial will be in Wilson Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Self, a retired farmer, was born Nov. 9, 1888, in Tennessee, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Lige Self. He sent most of his life in Collin County. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, seven sons, Elige and Rev. Billy J. Self of McKinney; Jerome Self of Wylie, Watell Self of Oklahoma City, Okla; Wilson Self of Lucas and Raymond and Alton Self of Garland; five daughters, Mrs. Glen McGee of Farmers Branch; Mrs. Floyd Mack and Mrs. James Chandler of McKinney, and Mrs. Marshall Lee and Mrs. Wayne Brewer of Wylie; four brothers, Bob, Clarence, Lawrence and Ed Self of McKinney; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Love of McKinney and Mrs. Zora Lane of Dallas; 36 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
