Mrs. Laura Sanford Passes Away At Home in McKinney Saturday (1958)
Mrs. Laura Bell Sanford, 88, died at her residence, 1009 Florence Street, at 4:15 p.m. Saturday after a week's illness. She was born August 11, 1870 in Tennessee, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Sulfridge, but had lived in McKinney for 40 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Sam Sanford, to whom she was married in 1893; and a daughter Mrs. Mollie Minton, both of McKinney.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in Turrentine-Jackson Funeral Chapel, conducted by Rev. George Kemp, pastor of North Baptist Church, and Rev. D. A. Grigg of Plano. Interment was in the Chambersville Cemetery.
