Bill Rolalter's Obsequies Held Here Wednesday 1968
Funeral services for William Thomas (Bill) Rolater, 76, retired grocer, were held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the North Baptist Church, where he was an active member. Rev. B. J. Johnson, pastor and Rev. Weldon R. Drake, former pastor officiated. Interment was in Big Springs Cemetery, near Plano, Harris-Horn Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Rolater was born July 18, 1886, in Collin County, the son of T. S. and Alice Gregory. He was married to Miss Jessie Holley, March 21, 1918. He had been a resident of McKinney since 1935, operating Rolater's suburban grocery before his retirement. He was active in the North Baptist Church and a veteran of World War I..
Surviving are his wife and two sisters, Mrs. Ray Bates of Dallas and Mrs. Joe Pearson of Plano.
Pallbearers were Oscar Miller, Sam Davidson, Grady Carter, L .A. Self, Roy Holland and Garvis Buchanan.
Honorary pallbearers: Men's Bible Class of North Baptist Church.
