Jeremiah Riffe’s Services Saturday
Funeral services were held at the Wylie Christian Church at 2 p.m. Saturday for Jeremiah Herman Riffe, 83. Masonic rites were conducted at the graveside.
Riffe, born in Yatesville, Ky., came to Texas in 1894. He was a member of the Wylie Christian Church and had been a member of the Masonic lodge for more than fifty years.
Surviving are his wife; twelve children, J. W. Riffe, B. D. Riffe, H. B. Riffe and Mrs. Herman Epps, all of Dallas; Mrs. L. F. Drake of McKinney; D. N. Riffe of Garland; Mrs. C. D. Kerby of Wilmington, N. C.; Mrs. Harold Coldrum of Canton, Ohio; R. H. Riffe of San Antonio, and P. M. Riffe, D. L. Riffe and Roy Riffe, all of Fort Worth; a stepson, Lowell Griffin, also of Fort Worth; twenty-four grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. McKinney Examiner, December 18, 1952
