Funeral services for Mr. Sam Renfro of McKinney who died Friday at Wysong Memorial Hospital will be held 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Reverend Lonnie Murphy officiating. Interment will be held at Wilson Chapel Cemetery with Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in charge. He was born February 19, 1895 in Collin County, Texas, the son of John Renfro and Sallie Kindle Renfro. He was a paper hanger and a painter and a member of the Baptist faith. Survivors include four daughters: Aline Evans and Mildred Moore both of McKinney, Clara Lee Jenkins of Richardson and Margaret Ivins of California, one step-son Wallace Carr of Bells, Texas, one brother Charlie Renfro of McKinney, twelve grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and other relatives. |
Mrs. Sallie Renfro Rites Held Monday
Mrs. Sallie Renfro, 87, died Saturday at her home, Route 5, McKinney. She was a life-long resident of Collin County, born April 1, 1876, the daughter of George B. and Sallie Enloe Kindle. She had been a member of the East Fork Baptist Church since 1912. She was married in 1894 to John D. Renfro in McKinney. Surviving are two sons, Sam and Charlie Renfro and a daughter, Mrs. H. M. Davidson, all of McKinney; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild. Her husband and three daughters preceded her in death. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in Turrentine-Jackson Chapel, Rev. A. W. Dyer officiating with interment in Wilson Chapel Cemetery. |
