Services for Garnett Reese, 77, of Lake Kiowa, who died Wednesday at HCA Medical Center of Plano, will be 2:30 p.m. Friday in the chapel at Horn-Harris-Croach-Belew Funeral Home with Dr. Ben Smith officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grave Cemetery under the direction of Horn-Harris-Crouch-Belew Funeral Directors.
Mr. Reese was born on April 15, 1916, in Collin County, the son of Thomas Oscar and Fleesy Payne Reese. He married Viola Gray in Greenville, on Nov. 9, 1935. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving in the Pacific in World War II. He was a retired cement finisher in the construction business and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Viola Reese of Lake Kiowa; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Carol Reese of Flower Mound and Larry and Shelley Reese of Manhattan Kan.; one daughter and son--in-law, Glenda Reese Robbins and Bill Robbins of Lewisville; one sister, Vara Clayton of Lewsiville; one brother, Wray Reese of Fort Worth; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
