Ragsdale
William Edward Ragsdale was born in Chattanooga, TN on 25 June 1860. His father, W. F. Ragsdale, died 26 December 1872 and shortly thereafter, William E. went/was sent to Texas. He appears in the 1880 Texas census on what may be the farm on which a H. W. Ragsdale and his family lived, as of the 1870 census, and he is married to a neighbor's daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Wood. since their first child was born in September 1880, It is safe to assume that they were married around 1879. Though the farm is located in Dallas Co., Texas the first few children show their birthplace to be Wylie, Texas.
