Sidney and Ina (Smith) Pruitt were married June 19, 1926 in McKinney and will observe their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday. Their children are Mrs. Boyd (La Vada) Eubanks of Altoga, Mrs. Floyd (Wanda) Ramsey of Princeton, Sidney Mack Pruitt of Newtown Square, Pa., and Mrs. Bill (Jimmie) Wolford of Greenville. The couple has 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Pruett Family History
The Pruett name was formerly spelled Pruit. W. C. Pruett married Jane Cantrell, a widow with three children, James Richard, George, and Mary. They are both buried in the Grounds Cemetery north of Blue Ridge. To the union were born these children:
Newt Pruett moved out of Collin County and settled at Archer City.
Thomas Albert Pruett was born October 7, 1855 and died January 30, 1931. His wife, Ardena Bell Mulder was born February 8, 1861 and died December 27, 1933. They lived on a farm one mile north of Blue Ridge and are buried in Pecan Grove Cemetery.
John Pruett went to Archer City. Laura Pruett married Julius Conner and lived in Dallas.
Martha Pruett married Jerry Worden and made her home in Farmersville and their children were Eugene, Lester, Will, Arlie, and a son.
Darthaulia Pruett married George Akin and lived in Blue Ridge where they reared their children, Cleo and Ermine.
Hettie Pruett married Dr. Robinson and settled in west Texas.
These are the children of Thomas Albert and Bell Pruett.
William Walter (January 8, 1880 - July 21, 1940).
Mary Paralee (February 27, 1882 - July 17, 1930) and married Labe Anderson.
Bertye Annie (March 13, 1885 - November 18, 1970) and married L. Howard Evridge. They have a daughter, Mrs. R. N. Jenkins of Marshall.
Harvey Melvin (August 18, 1837 - January 28, 1960) married Ethel Lawrence and lives in Princeton. Their children were Bertie, Viola, Ellen Lynn, Welson and Kenneth.
John Elmer, the 5th child, (February 4, 1890 - 1943) married Kate Wardlow.
Albert Ben (January 18, 1893 - May 21, 1961) served in World War I.
Linnie Mae (September 27,1895 - January 14, 1971) married Clarence Barrett.
Henry Lewis Pruett (September 13, 1898 - March 20, 1933) married Esther Farmer of Melissa.
Nannie Pruett was born September 7, 1901 - married J. G. Williamson and lives in Ft. Worth, They had one daughter, LaVerne.
These are the children born to W. W. and Ida Pruett.
W. W. married Ida Mae Houk July 8 1900, a native of Broadhhead, Kentucky. W. W. owned the McKinney Monument Works. Their first child, Mary Leona, was born November 25, 1901 in Blue Ridge, and was a graduate of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 1923. She married Oran Albery Ballou May 23, 1926 and to this union were born Carlene Beatrice, who now is a teacher in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and William who is pastor of the Rosenberg, Texas Calvary Baptist Church.
The second child of W. W. and Ida Pruett was Gladys Modena (August 28, 1903) born in Blue Ridge, also a Baylor graduate, she married John G. Moore, December 22, 1926, and to this union were born Margaret Jo, John Robert, and Gladys Ann. Gladys Ann and her family are missionaries in Indonesia.
The third child was Burnice Houk (December 8, 1905 - March 19, 1907).
The fourth child was Willie Carlos (March 7, 1908 - January 21, 1960) married Reba McLaughlin April 20, 1930 and had two sons Donald Paul and Ronald, both living in Kansas City.
Kermit Edwin, the fifth child, (April 20, 1911 - May 30, 1968) married Connie Agnello, November 7, 1943 at Mostagnum, North Africa. Connie was a nurse and he was in the army. They had a son, John Nichols born April 20, 1955, who at present is at West Point.
The sixth child was Margaret Eloise (January 8, 1922) married Frederick Henry Ogilvie on May 13, 1943. To this union were born Ida Margaret and James William. Fred retired from the army as a Lt. Colonel in 1970.
