Services for Mr. Clyde E. Press, of Blue Ridge, who died Saturday in Savoy, were 2 today at First Baptist Church in Blue Ridge with the Revs. Bob Collinsworth and Bryan Edmonds officiating. Burial was in Blue Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Fielder-Baker in Blue Ridge.
Mr. Press was born on Nov. 4, 1904, in Blue Ridge, the son of James W. and Cora Alexander Press. He was a retired farmer, rancher and cattle buyer. He married Gertrude Wallace on Dec. 31, 1924, in McKinney. She preceded him in death on March 5, 1990.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Olyn and Mary Frances Press of Garland; one daughter and son-in-law, Janene and Travis Bunch of Blue Ridge; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Tom Press of Tyler, and two sisters, Edith and Opal Alexander, both of Whitewright.
