Jerry Pierce
Jerry Pierce, 62, resident of Anna, died Sunday, March 12 1995, t St. Paul Hospital in Dallas after a brief battle with cancer.
Services were held in the First Baptist Church of Anna Wednesday, March 15, 1995, with Rev. David Meeks, officiating. Graveside services were held in the Ridgeview Memorial Park in McKinney.
Mr. Pierce was born Feb. 7, 1933, in Orangeville, Texas to Ronald Earl and Mary Inez Pierce. He retired as a Sergeant-Major after twenty one years with the U. S. Army serving in both the Korean and the Vietnam Wars. During this time he also taught ROTC at Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, Tx.
He was a school bus driver with the Melissa Independent School District
He is survived by his wife, Kathaleen (Crawford) Pierce; sons, Randy Pierce of Whitewright and Jerry Pierce II of Alda, Nebraska and David Pierce of Anna; daughters, Kim Jones and Tammy Bagwill of McKinney; sister, Nina Crowley of Farmers Branch; 12 grandchildren, his mother-in-law Jewel Crawford of Anna, lots of nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death y his parents and an infant daughter.
