Mrs. Emmett Petty Passes Away Here Friday

Mrs. Allie Mae Petty, 63, passed away at her residence, 206 Neilson Street, Thursday afternoon at 4:15 p.m. She had been ill for some time.
Funeral services were held at 4 o’clock Friday afternoon in Turrentine-Jackson chapel, conducted by Keith Shrum, minister of East Christian Church, and Rev. Joe Alexander, pastor of North Baptist Church. Interment was in Pecan Grove Cemetery.
Pall bearers were Harlow White, Jack White, Oren Lowe, Herman Farley, Grady Bridgefarmer and W. E. Evans.
A life-long resident of Collin County, she was born June 21, 1903, the daughter of Guy Hall and Sara Rutherford Hall. She was married in 1924 to Emmett Petty and had been an active member of the East Christian Church.
Surviving are her husband; one son, Billy Joe Petty of McKinney; three grandchildren, Suzanne, Cindy and Dawn; her mother, Mrs. Guy Hall of McKinney and two sisters, Mrs. Albert Langley of McKinney and Mrs. Abe Suwall of Dallas.
